Choosing a camera
What is the difference between a wired and a wireless camera?
A wired camera (SpotScanner-7, KKP-06) is connected to the screen by a cable – 10 m on the SpotScanner-7 and 20 m on the KKP-06. It is used for checking the bottom, finding spots and seeing whether the fish are eating your bait. The KKP-06 also works well for watching your swim live close to the bank. Both are complete kits, ready to use, supplied with a charger and a sun hood.
A wireless camera (LiveSpot-7, LiveSpot-10, LiveSpot-10-PRO) sends the picture to a receiver station on the bank from up to 500 m away and is powered by a large battery in the buoy. That means you can watch your swim live for the whole session, rather than just checking a spot and packing the kit away.
What range do the wireless cameras have?
The LiveSpot-7, LiveSpot-10, LiveSpot-10-PRO and the BoatDiver-X boat camera transmit the picture from up to 500 m.
How long does a wireless camera run on its battery?
The buoy battery in the LiveSpot cameras (LiveSpot-7, LiveSpot-10 and LiveSpot-10-PRO) lasts for up to 72 hours of continuous use. The LiveSpot-10-PRO receiver station is powered by a 12 V battery, which you need to buy separately.
How long are the cables on the wired cameras?
- SpotScanner-7 – 10 m, for quickly checking a spot; a small, handy kit,
- KKP-06 – 20 m, giving you a longer working range, plus a large 10.1″ screen.
Which screen should I choose: 7″ or 10.1″?
The SpotScanner-7 (800:1 contrast), LiveSpot-7 (800:1) and BoatDiver-X (tripod-mounted monitor) have a 7″ screen. The KKP-06, LiveSpot-10 (IPS) and LiveSpot-10-PRO have a 10.1″ screen. The LiveSpot-10 and LiveSpot-10-PRO screens have an anti-glare coating. A larger screen makes the picture easier to analyse; a smaller one means a lighter, more compact kit.
Do the cameras work in low light?
An IR module, which helps in low light, is listed in the specifications of the SpotScanner-7, KKP-06, LiveSpot-7 and LiveSpot-10. The KKP-06, LiveSpot-10 and LiveSpot-10-PRO also have noise reduction, which makes the picture clearer.
Can I record the footage from the camera?
Yes – on the LiveSpot-10-PRO (recording to 250 GB and motion detection) and the BoatDiver-X. You can watch the recording after your session and take your time working out what was happening in the swim. Motion detection on the LiveSpot-10-PRO helps you skip the ‘empty hours’ when reviewing footage.
Can I watch the picture on a phone or tablet?
Yes, the LiveSpot-10-PRO lets you view the picture on mobile devices – a phone or a tablet.
Can the LiveSpot-7 be used with a cable?
Yes. The LiveSpot-7 is the entry-level wireless model, but it can also be used wired – for checking the bottom and seeing whether your bait is being eaten.
What is included, and what do I need to buy separately?
- SpotScanner-7 and KKP-06 – a complete kit, ready to use, with a charger and a sun hood.
- LiveSpot-7, LiveSpot-10 and LiveSpot-10-PRO – a camera stand is included; you need to add a 1.25 kg or 2 kg weight to it. A stand for the receiver also has to be bought separately.
- LiveSpot-10-PRO – a 12 V battery is needed to power the receiver station.
- BoatDiver-X – the module on the boat is powered by the boat’s batteries.
Which camera should I choose?
- Quick bottom checks and bait monitoring – a wired camera: SpotScanner-7 (compact, 10 m cable) or KKP-06 (10.1″ screen, 20 m cable).
- Watching your swim live from a distance, long sessions – LiveSpot-7 (7″ screen) or LiveSpot-10 (10.1″ screen): range up to 500 m, buoy battery up to 72 h.
- Recording, motion detection, viewing on your phone – LiveSpot-10-PRO.
- You fish with a bait boat – BoatDiver-X or a complete TitanDRONE kit with camera.

Bait boats and BoatDiver-X
Will the BoatDiver-X fit my bait boat?
The BoatDiver-X is compatible with most large bait boats with a classic carry handle. The camera is controlled with the left stick on the boat’s remote, and the module on the boat is powered by the boat’s batteries. To confirm it will fit your boat, email us at kontakt@karpiowekamery.pl and let us know your boat model.
What is a camera on a bait boat useful for?
Folded up, the BoatDiver-X works as a navigation (bow) camera; lowered, it becomes an underwater camera. It helps you find spots, verify what the echo sounder is showing and check whether the fish are eating your bait.
What is the difference between the TitanDRONE STANDARD, PRO and ULTRA?
- STANDARD – hull, motors and controls (Hybrid Boat & Service) plus the BoatDiver-X camera with a 7″ screen.
- PRO – everything in the STANDARD, plus the S300 echo sounder, the ExtremeOne autopilot (All In One) and Li-Ion batteries. It helps you return to the same spots and plan your routes.
- ULTRA – the platform with the S300 echo sounder, the ExtremeOne autopilot and Li-Ion batteries, with the BoatDiver-X camera working with the larger LiveSpot-10-PRO receiver station.
